MastaPlex is delighted to welcome Dr Andy Millar to the team, as Chief Veterinary Operations Officer.

Andy brings 30 years of experience in the dairy industry with a wide range of experience in mastitis, veterinary pharmaceuticals and sustainable dairy farm management.

After completing his bachelors in Veterinary Science (BVSc), Andy began his career working in dairy veterinary practice across a wide range of production systems in New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East. He then worked in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry for MSD and Jurox Animal Health in Technical and Business Development roles and managed a large dairy operation (29,000 cows). Most recently he worked for Fonterra as General Manager of On-Farm Excellence in Environment.

In addition, Andy has a long-standing special interest in vet pharmacology, particularly as it relates to mastitis therapeutics and antimicrobial resistance. He has served as President and Chief Examiner of the Pharmacology Chapter of the ANZ College of Veterinary Scientists, and on the Antibiotic Resistance Committee of the New Zealand Veterinary Association.

At MastaPlex, Andy's main area of focus will be on supporting our extensive network of distributors, and growing international client base with optimal utilization of the Mastatest product and service suite.
